"Connecticut River" Collection - Pattern #'s XS10, XS11, XS12, & XS13
This collection encompasses several styles popular during the 18th and 19th centuries in America – Colonial, Georgian and Federal. These styles, influenced by Europe, were orderly and symmetrical. They enjoyed a resurgence of popularity from 1890-1940 when the excesses of the Victorian style waned and a more orderly style was desired.

"Home Sweet Home" - Pattern # XS20
This confectionary Second Empire Victorian house is located on the corner of Main Street and Pleasant Avenue in Dreamville, USA.  It’s just waiting for you to come in, windup the Victrola, and sip a relaxing cup of tea while reclining on the fainting couch in the parlor.  Then reality hits – “what do you mean you’re tired of leftovers!”  I told you it was DREAMville, USA.

“Cape Victoria” Collection - Pattern #,s XS30, XS31, XS32, & XS33
There are several styles of architecture commonly referred to as “Victorian.” One of my favorites is the Second Empire style, which was popular between 1855-1885. This French-inspired style has the Mansard (concave and/or convex) roofline, decorative slate roof tiles, cast-iron crests along the roof ridge, and a cast-iron finial topping off the tower roof. All these elements blend into a delicious concoction!

"Queen's Choice" Collection - Pattern # XS40
Queen Anne is one of several architectural styles referred to as “Victorian.” It was all the rage in America from 1870-1910. In fact, it was the first architectural style America could claim as its own. Many an old Colonial house was retrofitted with Queen Anne elements to be “in style.” The Queen Anne lacks symmetry and order as was the previous norm. The elements of the Queen Anne are towers with conical roofs, steep gables, sweeping verandahs and little niches. Absolutely anything goes – nothing boring about this treasure!
